I currently work full-time as a Philanthropic Communications Specialist at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund. I write and design materials used to communicate with principal and major donors (those who give $25,000 and above). More recently, my work has expanded to include branding and creating materials for federation-wide development training and internal board communications. Alongside my team’s senior designer, I interpret our national brand to provide an elevated experience for our donors. I’ve also taken on the responsibility of bringing teams across the development division into alignment with our national brand guidelines.

My responsibilities include the following:


  • Event collateral (invitations, save-the-dates, follow-up materials)

  • Evergreen and one-off presentations for donor and board meetings

  • Visual tools (including charts, graphs, and maps) to help educate, solicit, and steward donors

  • Funding proposals and stewardship materials for Win Justice, our 2018 electoral coalition

  • Workbooks, decks, and other educational materials for a federation-wide development training program


  • Email blasts to donors

  • Talking points for gift officers

  • Proposals for funding

  • Acknowledgment letters sent in response to gifts received

Serving as a trusted resource for information on

  • Current events as they pertain to Planned Parenthood's issues and the reproductive rights movement writ large, including legislative and legal news

  • Planned Parenthood’s brand, voice, and work
